Trends That Needs To Die In 2021

Trends That Needs To Die In 2021

2021 is just around the corner. The time has come to enter 2021 with new fresh styles. Whereas there are some trends we need to ditch in 2020.  This year has already been a real rollercoaster ride with so many downs and few ups. From tie-dye to weirdly shaped shoes, it’s too much to wear such styles in 2021. So, here we are going to explore 6 trends that we need to let go of because they are cringy and have the power to make a nicely tailored outfit into a shitty one.

LOGO OBSESSION

LOGO OBSESSION

Started by luxury brands like Chanel, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton to make their products more iconic than the rest of the competitors. And we all know the result; it was an instant hit to this day. Followed by other brands to use the same strategy to sell their merchandise. However, lately, this trend went a little overboard. It was fine with a small size logo until the big one ‘kinda on our face’ started featuring on shirts, belts, and shoes. Now it is nothing but a tacky, walking billboard advertising the brand you are wearing. It’s time to have clean lines and minimalism than just showing off. Always go for quality over the brand logo. It will help you by making you look more dapper.

SQUARED TOES SHOES

SQUARED TOES SHOES

It’s cringe-worthy to wear shoes with square toes. Definitely not a classy look plus it makes you look like a homeless. Wear shoes that have a smooth edge and a definition, which makes the whole outfit more tailored and elegant. The style has been gaining a lot of momentum lately especially among celebrities. But personally, this style needs to get off the market as fast as it arrived. If you own a pair right now, you should ditch them right now. It was never stylish in the ’90s and it is not stylish now. The style was everywhere from runway shows to Met Gala, but it always difficult to look good in them.

BUCKET HATS

BUCKET HATS

Bucket hats paired with suits can’t make it sexy until you are Rihanna. The only place suitable for them is camping or fishing. Even then baseball caps are replacing them. Wear them unless you want to be part of the hobbit or want to look older than your actual age. It has zero proportion and doesn’t suit anyone’s face. It is made for the head that doesn’t mean you have to necessarily wear them. With so many stylish options available, the bucket hat needs to rest.

TIGHT BODY HUGGING SHIRTS

TIGHT BODY HUGGING SHIRTS

Finally, the tight body-hugging shirt is going down. It was hard to stand around this trend. With the rise of oversize clothing, people are getting bored and slowly it is fading away. Earlier it was hard to scroll through Instagram without seeing almost every influencer rocking this style. It was never looked well in my opinion, it is more like the minute you breathe all the buttons of your shirt will pop off. There is a thin line between fitted shirts and tight shirts. Fitted shirts are much better to make you look like a gentleman than body-hugging shirts. Gym lovers are known to wear such shirts mostly because they want to show off their bodies or how well their workout is going on. But with all due respect, it was a big turn off for both of the genders. A well-suited shirt has all the power to make you a classy gentleman.

CHUNKY SNEAKERS

CHUNKY SNEAKERS

According to me, Gen-Z is the reason behind the popularity of these weird-looking sneakers. I never understood the concept of owning such sneakers. It makes you look like a dad from the ’90s. There are many brands that are making very nice sneakers than these ones. Pairing it with white sock is cherry on top to make it even more uncomfortable to watch. It is an ugly look for your feet too. Men’s sneakers should always be clean lines, white and low profile silhouettes. Never knew these sneakers will rule the fashion charts one day. Love it or hate it, they are the ruler of sneakers in a current fashion scenario. Most brands like Puma, Balenciaga has released their own version of the chunky sneaker. It’s time to move forward and look for more better and comfortable options.

TIE-DYE PATTERN

TIE-DYE PATTERN

It’s been so long since we first introduced to tie-dye. Earlier it was fun to do on your t-shirts. Now, it’s getting boring. From James Charles to Stella McCartney everyone has released their own version of tie-dye outfits. Influencers have rocked them in their feeds, runways shows have them. The trend has been rubbed onto our faces for a long time. From pants to hoodie to tops, it was used on every outfit you could possibly imagine. It was fun for a while to wear something colorful and childish yet creative. But we need to move ahead and drop off tie-dye. The tie-dye is done. There is no way it can grow more as a trend. It’s time for minimalism with cooler tones than over the top vibrant colors. Minimalism is sober, chic, and easy to carry at the same time.
