But, with her confidence and belief in herself and with the family’s support she has resisted all odds to reach where she is.
Zainika Jagasia had Down Syndrome but that didn’t become a hindrance in her journey. People were not much acquainted with the situation making it challenging for her family. But they did not give up.

Undergoing Therapy
Zainika Jagasia’s childhood days were restless. She was undergoing therapies since she was a few months old from Occupational Therapy to Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Modelling boosted her confidence
“I always dreamt of becoming a model. My family decided to organise a photoshoot for me. It was an exhilarating experience. Getting clicked for my first photoshoot was a magical experience. I was so happy and enjoyed every bit of it. While the excitement was evident, I was nervous about the final result, but I was pleasantly surprised to see the photos. It gave me confidence, and I could not stop smiling”
With her sister Gitika, she worked towards ruling a healthier lifestyle by changing her eating and exercise habits. And this made her feel exceptional and confident about herself.
Enjoyed Baking Cookies
She says that it was on her parent’s recommendation that she started working with her sister in her bakery though she was not very fond of baking or getting her hands dirty. But eventually, she started to fall in love with it. She loved baking cookies and her favourite was chocolate cookies. With time she was able to take up the responsibilities on her own, even in her sister’s absence.
“I want to become a full-time model one day. I want to say that there is a place for everyone in this world. You will find people who will love and support you, no matter what. Follow your dream and do whatever gives you immense happiness. Everything will follow after that”
