IIM Lucknow records 100% summer placements with 3.4 lac per month making it the highest stipend

India’s premier institutes – the IITs and IIMs often make the news -whether it be for their mind-blowing innovations or their great packages. They often score 100% placements. Keeping in line with these stats, the news comes from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow – who have concluded their summer placements with the highest stipend being at Rs 3.4 Lakh per month.

The institute recorded 100% placements by securing 567 offers for its 37th  batch of 562 students of postgraduate in management (PGP) and 18th batch of PGP in agribusiness management (PGP-ABM) students, which is also its largest batch. There was a 36 per cent increase for the highest stipend offered in its recently concluded process with the highest stipend of Rs 3.4 lakh per month, up from Rs 2.5 lakh per month last year. The average stipend this year also grew by 18 per cent to stand at Rs 1.3 lakhs per month, up from Rs 1.1 lakh per month.

Also according to a report by IIM Lucknow,  more than 140 recruiters participated in the placements drive, across sectors including consulting, finance, general management, IT or Analytics, marketing, and operations. The offers from leading companies in the domains of Investment Banking and Private Equity like ARGA Investment Management, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Societe Generale, and Standard Chartered, among others, the institute also witnessed the largest line-up of Finance Recruiters.

Apart from the legacy recruiters of the institute – Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Adobe, Alvarez & MaINRal, Amazon, Avendus Capital, Axis Bank, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Citi, Coca Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Deloitte, Disney – Star, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Google, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, JP Morgan Chase, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, Mondelez, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, PwC and Tata Administrative Services, etc. 

About 41 per cent of students from the batch have been placed this year with a stipend of more than or equal to INR 1.5 lakh per month while around 92 per cent of the batch was placed with a stipend of more than or equal to INR 1 lakh per month, the institute said.

There were also first-time recruiters such AirAsia, AllianceBernstein, Arthur D Little, Atlassian, Barclays, BD, CDC Group, and Kimberly Clark, etc, too.
