Aarogya Melas to resume in Uttar Pradesh from April 10

Followed by the instructions given by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Aarogya Melas will be organized once in the state of U.P from April 10.

For those who might not be aware of Aarogya Mela, it’s where health teams camp are set up in selected areas where health services are provided on people’s doorsteps.

In January-February 2020, Aarogya Melas reached out to around 31 lakh people in just seven sessions. The last Aaroya Mela was organized last year i.e  2021 but was haulted in view of rapid in covid cases. However, plans were initiated to restart Aarogya Mela by October last year but it could not be implemented.

Relevant orders for restarting the Aarogya Mela have been issued by the additional chief secretary, health and family welfare, Amit Mohan Prasad, who has asked the officials concerned to make relevant arrangements for the same.
