Amit Shah, Union Home Minister on April 10 inaugurated the Indo-Pak Border viewing point in Gujrat’s Banaskantha district, Nadabet.
The viewing point has been built on the lines of the Wagah-Atari border of Punjab.
As per the Gujrat Tourism Website, Nada bet is a small slice of land, extending into a sprawling lake where the ‘Seema Darshan’ for tourists is organised.
“It offers an opportunity for travellers to see the workings of an army post on the border of India. Some of the activities and sights that will interest the traveller include the retreat ceremony against the backdrop of a glorious orange sunset where the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans put up a gallant show of marching with pride to end another day of guarding the borders”
The website of Gujarat Tourism stated
Before the inauguration, Amit Shal along with Gujrat CM Bhupendra Patel offered prayer at the Nadeshwari Mata Temple in Banaskantha.
The weapon display and photo gallery at Nada Bet include guns, tanks, and other things that are helpful in keeping the border and inland places secure.
A camel show is also presented for the visitors in order to showcase their expertise and disciple.
Hundreds of people visit the Wagah border in Punjab to witness the beating retreat ceremony.
A 30 feet high T-Junction Pillar, adorned by murals depicting the border protectors in action, is the center of attraction of the Seema Darshan Complex that has been set up.
And the idea to develop another border viewing point for tourists was mooted when Vijay Rupani was chief minter of Gujrat in 2018. It took three years for the state government to develop the point.
On the same day, Amit Shah also inaugurated Gujrat State’s Co-Operative Marketing Federation, GUJCOMASOL’s office at Gandhinagar.
