A virtual event will be organized by The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade(DPIIT) and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry from January 10 to January 16, 2022, to organize the virtual innovation celebration called ‘Startup India Innovation Week’.
This week-long event aims to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and is designed to showcase the spread and depth of entrepreneurship across India.
The Start-Up India initiative was launched by the government in back 2016 and since then, DPIIT has taken multiple steps to boost the startup culture in the country. The Startup India Innovation Week will have sessions ranging from topics such as reverse pitching by incubators, enhancing market access opportunities, capacity building of enablers, corporate connect, best practices by states, technology exhibitions, and many more.
The Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry said,
“The programme is expected to bring together top policymakers, industry, academia, investors, startups, and all ecosystem enablers from across the globe”.
