As Women’s Day is around the corner, let’s dive into the inspiring story of yet another powerful woman who is leaving her mark as a healthcare leader and a social change maker-- Ms Antra Bhargava, CEO of SuVitas Holistic Healthcare, India’s first Inpatient Transition Care Chain. To begin with, let’s know her a little more. Ms Bhargava was one of India’s first and youngest female black belt holders in Taekwondo, a first-ever female referee for the sport in the Indian National Games held in Imphal in 1998. A passionate advocate for equality and safety, she developed ‘PACE’, a personal safety model for all genders and age groups and has taught over 20,000 people. An enterprising social change maker, this young Law Graduate from Trinity College has already made her mark in several initiatives that empower men and women from different walks of life. For centuries women have been stereotyped and guarded, they are judged for their inefficiency of managing multiple roles, however, breaking the stereotypes Antra is gracefully ruling in all the business she has her hands on from heading leading India's largest recovery care provider, making sure that quality recovery care becomes a reality for every Indian citizen to being a qualified Chartered Accountant and Tax Adviser; mentoring several startups, to have worked around the world in a variety of senior finance and strategic roles for over 15 years, Antra has been an example to look up to for many women. As somebody has rightly said that the whole idea of Power is to Empower others, Antara has practised it in her career as well as in her personal life. To focus on women empowerment through financial independence, Antra founded The WoW Kitty Trust that has made over 900 interest-free loans to rural female entrepreneurs. The award-winning thesis on ‘Gender Diversity’ authored by Antra in Corporate Boards is something you wouldn’t want to miss.
