Best hidden beaches of Goa

Goa might be among India’s smallest states, but the place has some of the best-hidden beaches that can beat any other coastal place on the subcontinent. 

If you think goa swaying palms, uninterrupted stretches of glittery gold sand, and smooth azure are the first things that come to our mind. A place to detoxify and calm your mind and soul. Merely an hour and 15 minutes away by plane from Mumbai. From kakolem to butterfly, goa has bestest of best to offer- 

Kakolem Beach

Also known as Tiger Beach, Kakolem Beach is one of the unknown beaches of Goa that is perfectly hidden away. A perfect getaway from regular crowded beaches in Goa. An ideal for one who desires to explore the serene and calm terrains of the beaches in India. A clean, quiet place, you can reach there through Cola village or if you wish to take a boat to get there. Plus, they have really amazing eco-friendly resorts where you can reside once reach Cola village.

Galgibaga Beach

Situated in South Goa, by the South of the Talpona river is Galgibaga beach. Considered one of the cleanest beaches in Goa, this small paradise encounters seasonal nesting as well as the hatching of the endangered Olive Ridley turtle.  This beach is blessed with crystal clear water. Plus, the texture of the sand i.e so pristine and clean the beach spectacular pace to enjoy with your loved ones. November to March is considered the best time for these places in goa. It should be noted that the beach is quite far from Dabolim Airport and also from the railway station. The only way to reach the hidden beach is to take a bus from Canacona Bus Station and reach Mashem. From here, you have to take a ferry that will drop you at Galgibaga beach. 

Betul Beach

Located in the Salcette district of South Goa is your next typical coastal fishing village that perfectly hides the clean Betul beach. The old-fashioned environment of the village is an ideal space for you to enjoy the goa vibe if you wish to get away from the regular party crowd. The beach also has a 17th-century fort, a small lagoon along with a slew of shacks. Seafood in this area is quite mouth-watering, make sure to taste it once you are here. In order to reach Betul beach, you will need to take a Cavelossim – Assolna ferry that makes you cross the Sal River. It is quite a from the city hustle but the quiet 17th-century ambience will definitely make you want more. 

Velsao Beach

You must have seen or heard Velsao beach in many youtube videos or on Instagram, mostly because it is the best-hidden gem goa has to offer. 

Velsao beach is very close to Dabolim Airport so you don’t have to be in a rush to get here. Revive your mind and soul when you stay at this magical place. It has an environment that is richly blessed with silver sands, coconut groves, lakes filled with lilies along with cool breeze that goes on the warm waters over the Arabian Sea to the coast. You have to reach Panjim in order to go directly to velsao. 

Bogmalo Beach

Bogmalo Beach has the perfect combination of luxury and tropical views you expect from Goa. From its cool-clean water that reflects the to sandy clean beaches. Bogmalo Beach is one of the best-hidden luxuries of Goa. Reaching the beach is not as tough as it was in Vasco de Gama, which is quite near to Dabolim Airport. You would be amazed by the views and ambience of this beach.  Also, the bogmalo beach caters for some of the best seafood and Goan cuisines. It is a perfect escape to tranquillity if that is what you seek. 

Butterfly Beach

Butterfly Beach needs more recognition as the must-go beach of India.  This isolated cove can only be reached through a small trek in Palolem. You would be astonished by the how thrilling place is. Sights of dolphins, crabs and butterflies are quite common in this area. Either you can take a boat from Palolem and Agonda Beach, or you can the amazing trek through the lush green jungles to enhance your overall experience.
