The PUBG fans were left heartbroken when the government banned the game back in September 2020, now they are welcoming the news of the game allegedly getting a green light from the government.
PUBG mobile was banned in India back in September 2020 along with 117 other applications by the Indian Government citing the issues relating to “apps being prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the defense of India, the security of the state and public order”.
However, a YouTuber by the name of GodNixon whose real name is Luv Sharma released a YouTube video on his channel titled “PUBG Mobile India Update! Government Approved“, in the video he stated that a source close to the development had confirmed that the government has given a green signal for the PUBG Mobile India Launch.
Another YouTuber by the name of TSM Ghatak who gained popularity for his PUBG related content said “the next 2 months are going to be very interesting for PUBG lovers in India”.

Though this is big news but the claims remain unsubstantiated as there has been no confirmation or verified information by official sources. There have also been no confirmations from PUBG holding company Krafton.
The last time we heard any verified information was from Krafton’s Head of Corporate Development, Sean Hyunil Sohn who told Akshay Rathee, co-founder of Nodwin Gaming the company has been hard at work to make PUBG Mobile India a reality.
“I cannot tell the timing or anything because we don’t know yet. But what I can tell you is, we care about the Indian market greatly, and also, that’s how I get to know you and gets to know friends in the Indian gaming industry now. So definitely, we will work hard to make it happen,” said Sohn.
This is especially a piece of positive news as Sohn speaking at a government-supported event hinted that the issues between Krafton and Government have been ‘somewhat settled’.
There has been no official confirmation so we will have to wait and see how thing moves ahead but the PUBG fans are hopeful for some good news.
