Punjab Kings Vs Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings are set to face each other in the 4th match of IPL-14 today. Both teams look great and have a balanced side, and it’ll be interesting to watch both teams roar against each other.

How’s the Rajasthan Royals unit looks like before their first match?

The bowling unit of Rajasthan Royals is a bit weak now, since the ace pacer of the side- Jofra Archer, is unfit at the moment due to a hand injury, and another bowler Mustafizur Rahman won’t be joining the squad for the 1st game, due to some unspecified reasons. However, there’s no reason for RR fans to get worried since the team is backed by a great batting squad, which can make up for the absence of bowlers like Jofra.

How the Punjab Kings will roll in their first match?

The franchise owned by Preity Zinta is looking for a great start this season, and the squad is looking good too. The presence of World number one batsman- David Malan (according to ICC T20I rankings) this time, provides stability to an already powerful batting order of the team.

The bowling part of the team can prove to be a weakness for the side, as the league progresses since it consists of mostly young bowlers, except Mohammed Shami- the only experienced bowler in the attack.

Punjab or Rajasthan: The better team

When it comes to the past records of the team, there is a reason for Rajasthan Royals to be happy and confident since they have a lead in the head-to-head count of matches played between the two sides by 12-9. But overall looking at the squads and taking other factors into consideration, both Rajasthan and Punjab appear to be equally strong and a competitive game seems to be in the offing on Monday.

Probable playing Eleven for today’s match:

Kings: Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul (C and WK), Chris Gayle/Dawid Malan, Nicholas Pooran, Sarfaraz Khan/Deepak Hooda, Mandeep Singh/Shahrukh Khan, Chris Jordan/Fabian Allen, Jhye Richardson/Riley Meredith, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami.

RR: Ben Stokes, Yashasvi Jaiswal/Liam Livingstone, Sanju Samson (C), Jos Buttler (WK), Riyan Parag, Shivam Dube, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Shreyas Gopal, Andrew Tye/Jaydev Unadkat and Kartik Tyagi.
