On Wednesday, Amazon India launched the fifth all-women partner delivery station in Piduguralla town, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh.
Amazon already has four all-women delivery stations that are located in Gujrat, Tamil Nadu, and Kerela.
Ahead of the festive season, Amazon announced to open a center in Chennai too and the station will be handled by women, members of under-represented cohorts of society, transgender individuals, disabled people, and military veterans.
The new station will be operated by Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner(DSP).
The DSP program is a last-mile delivery model where Amazon India partners with Small and Mid-sized Businesses(SMBs) to deliver packages to Amazon customers.

By the launch of delivery stations, Amazon is creating employment opportunities for women and also it compliments Amazon India’s efforts to boost the opportunities for women in the logistics sector while strengthening its Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity(DEI) commitment
