According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD." Excerpts from the telephonic interview with Sajal: How did your entrepreneurial journey with CBD Bee embark? I started in 2020, but it was not the official date of its being. The idea was I had no idea about it back then. I would say it all started with a personal experience. My best friend started having serious epileptic attacks and we were really concerned about him. Initially, he was prescribed allopathic medicines along with numerous restrictions. He was not allowed to go to the gym, not any kind of adventurous sports. He had to completely discontinue all the things he once loved, to be honest, it was really disheartening to see him like that. Hence, we began looking for natural ways to help him cope up with all those seizures and attacks. That is when we came across the concept of CBD or cannabidiol. There are so many effects like when you are having seizures you are shaking or when you are about to have a seizure you blackout and that is what used to happen to my best friend as well. So, when he switched to CBD, he experienced relief. In 2020, I was in a typical 9-5 job setup for six months. A proper IT job with a very hectic schedule and I was also looking to explore the different areas and try new things. I was looking for various options for work in investment etc and that was my approach to look for another job. That is how I came to know about CBD. In India, cannabis is so stigmatized. However, people are actually doing business helping people heal or cope with serious illnesses. So I came across a company ITSHEMP. In September 2020, I contacted the founder of the company. I got in touch with him. I told him about my journey, I read a lot, I did a lot of research on it, and interacted with a lot of people to understand in detail. What is CBD Bee? We are telling people that is not something that can get you high, but something that can actually help you. Further, we are trying to include a lot of cannabis influencers in our network and connect them to the ayurvedic doctors so that they can address their queries of the general audience.
