Over 100 LU students clear NET-JRF
More than 100 students from Lucknow University have qualified the NET-JRF examination. It was conducted by the University Grants Commission.
A student named Archit Pandey from MA (political science) scored a perfect 100 percentile. Additionally, many students from Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Language University along with 35 students from Dr. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University have also qualified at the national level examination that makes a student eligible for teaching in higher education institutes.
“It is a moment of pride for us that over 100 students from 18 departments of the University have qualified NET-JRF. The department of Sociology has the maximum achievers with 11 students qualifying for JRG and 11 in NET followed by the Department of Political Science with 5 JRF’s and 12 NET’s”

He also stated students from applied economics, Sanskrit, geography, home science, library science, history, psychology, Persian, English, and economics also qualified.
At BBAU, students from the library and information science, law, sociology, statistics, mass communication, and journalism and political science courses have qualified for the exam too, while students from KMCLU from history, commerce, business management, English, education, and Urdu department cleared the exam.
Ekana ready for T20, Team India to arrive today
Buckle up Lucknow, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium is all set to host the first T20 match between India and Sri Lanka, scheduled on Thursday.

However, the match will be played without spectators due to the Covid-19 protocol, which has come as a dampener for all cricket lovers. According to Ekana Stadium authorities, both red soil and black soil pitches will be ready and the BCCI will have a key role in deciding where the match would be played. Team India players have already reached Lucknow where they will be residing in Hyatt Regency while Sri Lankan players will be arriving on Tuesday. New talent Ravi Bishnoi will be the centre of attraction as this will be the first time he can show his worth through his performance on the field. He has been roped in by the Lucknow Super Giants for the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Cricketer Akshdeep Nath said though it was a disappointment for cricket-lovers for not being able to watch the match in the stadium, safety and precaution should be the first priority. “If we want matches to continue, we will have to take precautions,” he said.
