Providing a big relief to Lucknow from increasing traffic load. The flyover near Amausi, connecting Shaheed Path and the Lucknow Airport has finally resumed its work. The flyover will be available for public use by June 2022.
The development authority, Setu Nigam, has started to make the foundation and is aiming to complete the construction in 5 months. Once commissioned, the flyover will be quite helpful in decreasing traffic jams along with smooth and regulated vehicular movements.
In this latest development in Lucknow’s road infrastructure, the construction of this much-awaited flyover has finally gained speed after being halted for almost 4 months. As per other sources, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) delayed in sanctioning free land for construction, therefore, delaying the whole process. Also, civil construction is hampered adding more problems to the existing delayed work. Additionally, people coming from Mansarovar Nagar and Shaheed Path have a difficult time dealing with the chaos.
Chief Secretary Rajendra Tiwari, conducted a review meeting regarding the work on July 12 and directed for rapid completion of the flyover. LDA should allot free land at no cost, for the sake of rapid construction.
Now, around 13 landowners have agreed to the land acquisition, streamlining the project work, informed the Deputy Project Manager, Rohan Kumar. The land registry has also been approved by Public Works Department and will be completed within a week. The development agency is aiming to complete all construction work by January 2022.
