Lucknow Zoo has welcomed several inmates, which included two Leopard Cats, three Slo Loris, and two Himalayan bears.
After a long gap of seven years, leopards get welcomed at the Lucknow Zoological Gardens.
The leopard cat is a small wild cat, native to continental South, Southeast, & East Asia.
The leopard cage had been lying vacant ever since the death of the last big cat due to kidney failure in 2015.
The Himalayan bear is found in Nepal, Tajikistan, west China, north India, north Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Tibet, entire Kyrgyzstan, and south-east Kazakhstan.
“The new inmates will be kept in quarantine under special care for 15 days and the visitors will be able to see them only after the quarantine gets over”

Slow Loris, the nocturnal strepsirrhine primates, these were present in the zoo till 2005.
This is done under the animal exchange programme with the Nagaland Zoological Park, the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden has greeted new fauna to add some spirit to the zoo.
In exchange as a part of the same programme, the Lucknow Zoo has sent a pair of hog deers & two pairs of gharials to Nagaland.
