Lucknow University has launched a new in-house internship programme for students in line with the new initiative, the New Educational Policy(NEP) 2020, named Karmoday.
The office dean made this decision in order to ensure an engaging and supportive environment for students. This is an opportunity for experimental learning. And also to experience real workplaces & apply their knowledge and skills to perform.
The scheme is started by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Rai to put clause 12 of NEP2020 into action, which emphasises proper student support focused on the development of capacities among students in higher education.
Karmoday is an unpaid scheme that serves as a hands-on approach to learning. It infuses work ethics and respect for work.
This internship is going to be a feather on the student’s resume as on the completion of the internship, they will be provided experience certificates stating the work accomplished.
Duration of the Internship
The minimum internship duration in this Karmoday scheme is 50 days in an academic session and the working hours for all categories of assistants shall be equally distributed over a period of two months.
The maximum duration of the internship is one semester.

Eligibility for the internship
One can apply for this scheme in their final or pre-final year of Bachelors or Masters course.
The student should be enrolled for the regular or self-finance course of the university. Must have passed with a minimum of 60 percent marks in the previous examination. Attendance of 75 percent in the previous academic year is also necessary.
